Meeting new friends in Vietnam in 1994. Our sons were only five and eight years old. At that time I was conversational in Vietnamese.

I opened the first private preschool in Hanoi in 1994 called Daystar School. 

One of my first jobs was working in refugee camps on the Thai Cambodian border. My job was interviewing refugees wanting to go to America. I heard tragic stories of life under the Pol Pot regime.

I also worked with CARE International  distributing food to mothers and children. You can see me in the yellow circle.
